- Great wood ! Great color ! And 10 Armchairs !
It would take a lifetime, if ever, to duplicate this set. It
must have taken an incredible effort to assemble this set. Although
there are small differences between several chairs, they obviously
were produced in the same shop. If they were the standard mahogany
saber leg side chairs, they would not be unusual. But in tiger
maple, and all armchairs, they are incredible. Note the carved
back rails and the carved elements in the corners of the crest
rail. Made in New York City circa 1815. In excellent condition
with several original cane seats.
