DESIRABLE MASSACHUSETTS INLAID MAHOGANY HEPPLEWHITE WING CHAIR

Desirable Massachusetts Inlaid Mahogany Hepplewhite Wing Chair (F761)

Early Federal Period wing chairs are desirable partly because they are so scarce. This one has the principal Hepplewhite characteristics of square tapering legs and fine string inlay. In addition it is delicate in scale and of small size. It has great proportions and beautifully shaped wings. The mahogany has good color with a nice old finish. The chair is sturdy,
newly upholstered and very comfortable. Provenance: Samaha.

Dimensions are:  Height to top of back 44 1/2"    Width 30 1/2"

$ 9500.
