This is an extremely fine three part Sheraton dining table
made in New York City circa 1800. The top consists of five beautifully
matched high quality solid mahogany boards. The end sections
have beautiful crotch mahogany veneered aprons with crossbanded
edges. The legs are slender and finely reeded with their original
brass ball feet. The table is original throughout and it even
retains its rare original cast iron clasps to hold the sections
together.
This table seats 4 on each side and 2 at the ends for a
total of 10. The two end sections can go together to form a
table that seats 4-6. The middle section alone seats 6. The
sections are easy to put together and take apart. Unused sections
can be used against the wall as serving tables.
