Few chests of drawers possess the dramatic visual appeal
that this one does. The mahogany veneers on the drawers are perfectly
matched and contrasted with the rosewood crossbanding. The use
of the lighter or blonde mahogany for drawer veneers is a rare
and beautiful feature that is characteristic only of the Boston-Salem
area in the circa 1800 period. A truly beautiful chest
of drawers. In excellent original structural condition, replaced
brasses. Dimensions are: width 42", depth 21" and height
36 1/2".
$ 12,500.
