- One of the most beautiful forms of Federal furniture yet
few were made in the period. All of those known appear to have
been made in Boston or Salem. This fine example shares characteristics
typical of pieces made by the Seymours in Boston circa 1800-1810.
Dimensions are: height 34 3/4", width 36" and depth
17 1/4". Compare to #336-338 in Montgomery "American
Furniture, The Federal Period" for the three similar examples
at Winterthur. This table is in original structural condition,
replaced brasses and an as found finish.
