This Platt-type mirror is nearly identical to the other and the two could easily act as a pair if hung in the same room. Although there are several differences, they are the same width and within 1" of each other in height. Pairs of American gilt mirrors of this period are almost impossible to find and command a great premium in price. This is the low cost alternative ! This mirror retains most of its original gilt surface and the glass is an old replacement.
